In what will be the first of a string of players returning to the Lions den for the 2017 Sunshine Coast Premier League campaign, Noosa Lions FC have secured the return of ex-Brisbane Roar and Sunshine Coast Fire Captain Grant de Chastel. de Chastel began his football career as a Noosa junior before being selected into the representative system in the now defunct Junior Premier League. After years of impressive performances de Chastel earnt selection into the Queensland Academy of Sport and progressing to represent Brisbane Roar FC in the Senior Men’s NPL.
Noosa Lions Head Coach A’Herne – Evans clearly holds de Chastel in high regards “Grant is a player that I thoroughly enjoyed working with during my time at Sunshine Coast Fire, I had no hesitation in giving Grant his debut and always said that the senior team should be built around Grant”
“For a young man, Grant has a maturity to his game and has high standards in relation to training which will continue to benefit the number of good young players we have at Noosa”.
de Chastel known for his ability to suffocate the opposition midfield with his tenacity was equally enthused about the future of Noosa Lions FC “I am excited to be returning to Noosa Lions and looking forward to working with Kevin again.
